Event Rentals at Loch Haven

For decades, people have celebrated milestones at Loch Haven Lake… baby showers, children’s birthday parties, holiday celebrations, proms, family reunions, and graduation parties. Local companies have also enjoyed our unique location for corporate trainings (followed by a dip in the lake) to company picnics and company holiday gatherings. Our indoor venue or picnic pavilions are sure to be the perfect location for your memory-filled event.

With all our event rentals, Loch Haven offers the cost savings of allowing you the option to hire the caterer of your choice OR you may bring in your own favorite foods, like that scrumptious local BBQ, Aunt Jane’s famous pie or budget-savers like platters from your favorite restaurants. If you like, you are also welcome to bring in your favorite margaritas, keg of local brew, or other alcohol of your choice with a one-day VA-ABC license ($55; required by state law), you’ll save even more with all that you save on your alcohol budget … or you can hire an ABC-licensed caterer to handle the alcohol details. Creativity is in your hands, with the budget options that work for you. We offer the ultimate DIY, or if all those options give you ‘option-itis’, you might wish to hire a planner to take care of all the details - it’s completely up to you… and that’s what people really like about us!

Our indoor venue is available for full-day rentals from 9am-9pm Monday through Sunday, except January - March, when all our venues are closed for the winter season. We begin accepting event reservations in January for the upcoming year.

Our event rentals are open to the public and do not require membership to Loch Haven Lake Club; however, after a fun-filled and rejuvenating day at our in-town lake, you just might decide you’d like a ‘do over’ … all year long. Be sure to check out our year-round membership club link.

Special Note: Starting in 2023, Loch Haven Lake will no longer be hosting wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions. We will continue to host rehearsal dinners, couples showers and vow renewals.

The Indoor Venue

The main space of our indoor venue is abundant with natural light and large windows overlooking the private lake and wooded areas adjacent to the building. The venue rental includes the use of a private, attached 30’ x 40’ outdoor back patio - the perfect place for your guests to enjoy some fresh air. Stocked with tables and chairs, we are able to accommodate up to 180 of your guests. Our warming/preparation kitchen comes equipped with an industrial-sized refrigerator, a full-size freezer, industrial sinks and plenty of counter space. You also have the option to add on “Amenity Use” of the lake for your guests, allowing them to take advantage of our provided canoes, kayaks, swim area, hiking trails and lawn games. Outdoor Pavilions

We offer one small and one large outdoor picnic pavilion rental, along with a two lakeside patio areas.

Larger events will fall in love with the breathtaking view of the lake from our spacious, large pavilion replete with rustic timber beams and easy access. Picnic table seating is provided for groups of up to 100 people. Smaller, more intimate gatherings will appreciate the secluded feel of our small pavilion, perched above the property, with scenic surroundings. This pavilion accommodates up to 25 people. Our Lakeside Patio options are best suited for families or groups of 10 people or fewer and include use of 2 picnic tables each.

All outdoor rental hours are from 12 noon – 6 p.m., Monday – Saturday. Sundays rentals are 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. Rental times INCLUDE set-up and cleanup time. All rentals include the use of lake amenities for your guests.

Your guests may enjoy swimming at our zero-entry sandy beach, our canoes and kayaks with provided lifejackets, fishing (no fishing license is needed because it is a private lake, but do bring your own equipment) and a plethora of lawn games: ladderball, cornhole, horseshoes, bocce, croquet, ping-pong and even volleyball.
